Who am I?

I’m Helen Fitt and I’m from Dinas Powys. I started my hairdressing career in south Wales before moving on to work on some of the world’s biggest cruise ships where I offered a 5-star service, in state-of-the-art salons, whilst travelling the world. After life at sea, I joined one of Wales’ leading salon brands, Ocean Hairdressing. I quickly worked my way up to managing a team of creative individuals and this is where I really started to learn, grow, and understand my client’s needs, offering an award-winning service.

After years of success within the salon, came the birth of my son. I took a step back from management and concentrated purely on my own clients. This is when my clients became my ‘guests’, and I realised this was my passion – providing the best hair care service to my guests and making people feel great. This became my motivation and brought me a different kind of clientele and gave me a sense of where I wanted my career to go. For me to really succeed, I had to say goodbye to team Ocean and go it alone.

Listening and understanding my guests needs, led me to study the condition of the hair and scalp and then hair loss. It took me to London to learn how to make female hair systems, which then evolved into me developing my own method, creating beautiful customised bespoke pieces.

I learnt from the best in the industry and networked with leading trichologists and surgeons to really understand how to support my guests. This has allowed me to not only help my guests with thinning hair conditions, but those also suffering with full hair loss due to chemotherapy and medical conditions.

I added men’s hair loss to my list of services and was delighted to become the main supplier for, ‘neu hair 4 men’ within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. This took me back to Ocean Hairdressing twice a month where I held a pop-up clinic, offering hair systems, fittings, and support. From here again I grew and then opening my pop-up clinic every weekend there, I eventually needed my own premises where I could cater for my guests needs daily.

I now work from my own private studio in Penarth 6 days a week offering men and woman bespoke solutions to their hair needs.

I have an online shop that has an extensive range of hair products, hair tools and hair accessories and as well as being a supplier now for many of the world’s leading industry brands, I’ve become a wholesale supplier, supplying 100% human hair to other technicians who are leading the way within our industry
